One of the biggest tips I give to my patients who are trying to lose weight is to set realistic goals. 1/2 to 2 lb of weight loss per week is realistic. If you set your expectations too high and you cant achieve them, you develop a negative thought process and start feeling like a failure- which makes it more likely that you'll quit. Try something new !! Recently I saw a workout that I didn’t see before and ofcourse I had to give it a try : ) I believed that it was a good workout and when I tried this new workout I really felt it was a heavy workout as my quads were killing me : ) If you ask me if I will perform this workout again? Most likely yes but I will not add it to my regular training schedule as it takes allot of time to prepare equipment and make changes to get the most out of it from each angle in between the workout. If it’s a regular workout day without any extra exercises I will perform this workout earlier. How do they call this workout? I want to help because I was the girl who needed help. I tried time and time again to loose weight on my own. I tried starving myself which lead to binging. I tried every fad diet. But every time because I was at it alone I would give up on myself. Until I found a community who loved me and accepted me for who I was. Who focused on health for self care over what we all looked like. I had a healthy relationship with women who wanted to see me succeed. Once I experienced that for the first time I wanted to share and create that for my own team! Now I look forward to checking in with my girls everyday I look forward to our calls and chats. We laugh we cry. But most importantly we show up.... even when it sucks even when we want to quit. Because we know we need each other! A women should embrace her body. For the longest time, I hated mine. . . I remember feeling ashamed of my body, because it didn’t look like how I thought it should, and jiggled in all the wrong places. I I was even embarrassed around my husband. I mean how embarrassing is that?🙈 . As I am growing older my body is what carried me through to where I am today. I have eyes too open every morning, ears to hear, legs to keep up after my children and a healthy body that allows me to keep up with life. Thank you BODY. This body also birthed 4 beautiful babies. I will always have saggy boobs, it’s natural to juggle, and stretch marks on my belly. Embrace it. You worked hard for those. ❤️ . I’m learning to my body like a temple. I move it regularly, and in return it helps me age timelessly. I fuel it with good food and it provides me with the energy I need. I give it meditation and listen to personal development podcasts and in return it fuels my mind to believe in ME, attracting all those positive vibes . This is the first time in my 37 years of life that I feel sexy. I seriously cannot believe I’m telling you this. I but on clothes that make me feel feminine. It makes me feeeeel goooood to finally embrace my body and to be proud of it. I am a woman who finally feels comfortable in her body. . Move your body, eat foods that serve a purpose, surrounded yourself with all the things go that lift you UP, and I promise you my friend, you will bring back that confidence and sexy factor that you have been longing for. 𝐕𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐤𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐞𝐬 🌱 ⁣ -1/2 cup pumpkin puree NOT pumpkin pie filling!⁣ - 1 cup light brown sugar packed into cup⁣ - 1/4 cup coconut oil ⁣ - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract⁣ - 2 cups all-purpose flour⁣ - 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice⁣ - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda⁣ - 1/4 teaspoon salt⁣ - 1/2 cup vegan mini chocolate chips⁣ ⁣ Instructions⁣ ⁣ 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.⁣ 2. Add pumpkin puree, light brown sugar, room temp coconut oil and vanilla extract to a medium mixing bowl. Cream together using a wooden spoon or hand/stand mixer on low.⁣ 3. Once combined, add the pumpkin pie spice, baking soda, and salt. Stir in the flour 1/2 cup at a time to avoid a crumbly mixture. Mix together using the wooden spoon or mixer until a large uniform ball of cookie dough forms.⁣ 4. Mix in the mini chocolate chips.⁣ 5. Scoop dough into balls on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Lightly press each cookie to flatten a bit before baking. ⁣ 6. Place the cookie sheet on the middle rack of the oven. Bake for 12-14 minutes in 350 degree F oven. ⁣Let cool after baking and enjoy!

So, I almost didn’t workout today. I have a headache. I’m tired. The stress of the end of the quarter as a high school teacher, who teaches seniors is weighing on me. I was up way too late after calling lots of parents, worried that kids wouldn’t get their work in. But, I pushed play anyway. And guess what, I kinda worked out. I bet you were expecting me to say I crushed it. I didn’t. I did 20 minutes of a 30 minute workout and said “Im done today”. It’s ok. I am not going to beat myself up over it. In fact, I’m going to do the opposite. I’m going to congratulate myself on paying play. I’m going to pay myself on the back for making the effort and trying rather than not trying at all. Better to have tried and failed, right? Tomorrow is a new day. Maybe it will be better. Maybe not. That’s ok. This is a season for giving ourselves some grace.

Mental Health Day for me is me cooking without distractions. You know, with the fancy stuff.😜 My homemade Rack of Lamb (seared then roasted ) on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes and red wine balsamic vinaigrette glaze (hint of blueberry ). Today, I’ve prepared rack of lamb two ways: crusted and non-crusted. I prefer non-crusted, but my boys the contrary. For the side, Rainbow Carrots! Why? Because they look so pretty and sexy after roasted in a spiced honey glaze🤭! After putting the dish together, rain that Marjoram! We all prepare our mashed potatoes and protein differently, so let me tell you what I use for my red wine and balsamic glaze since I also religiously use it for my salads. * Fresh blueberries or blueberry jam (Just a little. For fresh blueberries, smash them a little. ) * Sliced shallots (2-3 ). Don’t know about you, but it’s so yummy cooked in red wine. Even sometimes for sandwiches! ) * Black pepper * 5 tbsp olive oil * 2 garlic clove, lightly crushed. * Rosemary (Just a sprig! ) * Chicken stock OR chicken flavored broth mix. * Butter (A tad... half a spoon. I stopped using butter and still taste amazing! ) * 6 tbsp balsamic vinegar (Any brand! ) * Red wine... Mama is tired... but grateful. 🤍 Belly update - were getting big and this little man continues to move and kick and punch all day [and night]. It’s exhausting trying to grow one human and then chase around another tiny human who wants to run and climb and play all day long. But overall I am feeling good. Working out every single day to help ease back aches - it’s amazing how much of a difference it makes. I focus on strength training, mobility, core work, breathing etc. It’s great bc on the days I don’t feel like it, I remember how important movement is for my baby and boom - motivation. 🙌🏼 I’m also doing acupuncture once a week and that has been incredible in many ways. #34weekspregnant tomorrow and it’s wild to think that in about 6 weeks we will get to meet this incredible little boy. 😍
