Transformation‼️‼️‼️ My Fitness Journey ❤️ First thing first, I had to gather a lot of courage to post the pic on left! But I hope it motivates someone😊 As like most of us my, fitness journey started with me wanting to lose weight. I joined gym and started with just hitting the treadmill/cross trainer for 30-45min daily. I used to not enjoy it even still I continued with it as my main agenda was to lose weight. Never did I ever care about what I ate. I am not telling cardio is not good. It is very good for heart health. It sure does make us lose weight. But the thing was I was not enjoying doing it. Lifting weights looked interesting however I was scared/conscious to do so in front of all muscular guys roaming around the weights section😃. Finally I gathered up all the courage and started with lighter weights. It was fun and I was enjoying it. Strength training makes me challenge against myself daily. I find peace and happiness after every session. Not to mention with proper diet it surely helps in losing fat, tone body and very important to become stronger 💪 Although I started weight training with an agenda to lose weight but now I continue doing it because I love it. I find happiness in it ☺️ If anyone read this till here then thank you for all the patience 😃 PS: I had to take a break for an year from strength training due to my injury. WHY WOMEN SHOULD WEIGHT TRAIN? Although the general consensus is changing with more and more women trying weight training, there are still a lot of women out there who are unsure of the benefits and have a fear of getting bigger or bulky. This can’t be further from the truth. Instead weight training can bring tangible results and create the lean physique they desire. Lets look at some of the main benefits/reasons why you should be weight training:- 1.Weight training is key to fat loss- when it comes to fat loss, its about burning more calories than your consuming so being in a deficit. This is effected by the amount of lean muscle you have. The more lean muscle you have the more calories your body burns at a resting state. (higher basal metabolic rate ) 2.Lifting weights doesn’t mean you will get big and bulky-I can understand why women would think this when you see the men in the gym lifting weight to get big and muscly. The thing is that women are built differently to men, women don’t have the testosterone levels that males have. They are seven or eight times lower than that of male testosterone levels. Testosterone is the main hormone recruited in building muscle. 3.Positive effect on bone density-Putting your bones under stress from the force of weight training over a consistent period of time will help to grow your bone strength and density. This therefore decreases the chances of women and men developing osteoporosis later on in life. 4.Improve strength and confidence- every time you train with weights you become stronger, meaning you will be able to lift more next time. This is great for motivation and helping to boost your confidence when you can see yourself getting stronger and stronger. 5.It will give you a more athletic look- Weight training will give you a toned (leaner ) and sculpted look that cardio can’t. Cardio won’t change your shape but weight training will change your body composition. Giving you more lean muscle tissue which gives you that more toned look, which is what so many women crave. Ich habe mich etwas neues gewagt, bin einfach ins kalte Wasser gesprungen... Und... Es hat Spaß gemacht! 🎉 Auf der Suche nach einem Ausgleich zum reinen Kraftsport habe ich letzte Woche zwei Probetrainings gemacht. Ich war beim #crossfit , was mir auch echt gefallen hat, mir aber doch zu ähnlich mit dem war, was ich auch zu Hause mache... Dann war ich beim #polekurs und das war wirklich was anderes.😉 Leider denken viele dabei ja rein an die erotischen Tänze in Clubs, hierbei geht es jedoch um viel mehr! Beim Kurs bei der lieben @misschellylin trainiert man seine Beweglichkeit und Körperspannung gepaart mit Kraft und Koordination. 👍 Das war genau das, was ich gesucht habe. Den Körper zu nutzen, auch mal Muskeln zu gebrauchen, die man sonst nicht beachtet, sodass der Körper sich selber komplett halten kann. Ich muss gestehen, ich habe mich nach dem Sport selten gedehnt und das zeigt sich leider schon durch Verkürzungen. Choreografien sind auch nicht meine Stärke... Aber genau das reizt mich! Etwas neues zu probieren, was ich noch nie gemacht habe. Finished off a heavy glute/hamstring day with some band work 😋 — Bands have a time and a place! I use bands to primarily shape my Glutes, not add mass 🙅🏽‍♀️ I throw in band work at the end of a heavy glute/ham sesh once every other week or so, but I primarily incorporate them when doing hip thrusts & leg press (thank me later )👌🏼 — Band Finisher: . 1️⃣20-25 Hip Abductors, sitting upright on bench . 2️⃣20-25 Hip Abductors, slightly tilted back on bench . 3️⃣20-25 Hip Abductors, slightly leaning forward on bench — 💥NO REST IN BETWEEN! Workout because it makes you happyyyyy✨✨✨ • • When you exercise, it increases endorphins, dopamine, adrenaline and endocannabinoid. These are all brain chemicals associated with feeling happy, feeling confident, feeling capable, feeling less anxiety and stress. • • Today wasn’t one of my hot days. So many things took a turn and so much stress and anxiety spiked up. I didn’t even want to go to the gym today and thought about just staying home in bed because I “wasn’t feeling it”. I wanted to stay home because I was stressed, anxious, feeling blue. BUTTTTT I decided that it wasn’t an excuse to skip the gym. I went to the gym, pulled myself together as much as I could, lifted some heavy weight, hung out with amazing friends, and had a yummy post workout meal. My mood instantly changed just a few minutes into my workout. • • Go to the gym even when you’re feeling down. Take care of yourself even when it’s the last thing you want to do because instead you just want to curl up in bed. Never ONCE has anyone completed a workout and said “man I regret that”.... overcome those negative feelings and KEEP GRINDING, keep pushing, and never give up on yourself because I promise you... it IS WORTH IT. Go get your happy feelsssss 💪🏼
