When I got my degree from the College of Human Ecology, I honestly didn’t know why I was studying in that college at the time. I didn’t have a plan. In fact, I thought I was going to become a fashion designer. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s funny how things come full circle and suddenly become relevant again. Flip through to take a look at the human ecology chart (credit: Barton and Grant, 2006 ). If you’ve taken Psych 101, you’ll recognize the shape of familiar onion-esque look of the model. 🧅 Author Christiane Northrup, M.D. says “Nothing is ever just in your head. Nothing is ever just in your body. They are intrinsically linked — always.” It’s not new knowledge that everything is interconnected. Whatever is happening “out there” is happening “in there.” Whatever is happening in our mental body affects our energetic, emotional bodies, and physical body. You can take this same concept and apply it to everything around you, on a larger scale, as the human ecology model demonstrates. 🌎 How’s your onion doing today? How are you actively/passively impacting those layers? Do some of your layers need to be strengthened/fortified? 💬 I watched this home reno show, and the episode showed that the crew tried their best to salvage the interior guts of the old home. But they ended up just tearing the whole thing down to start from scratch. In the end, the home they created was magnificent. But it took precise planning, determination, lots of standing in the cold, lots of elbow grease and plenty of patience to work through some moments of disagreement and frustration. ⁨💪🏼 Sometimes we have to do just that: Start over, and rebuild from the bottom up to ensure that things are sturdy on the inside. I would argue that there are no mistakes, just lessons that are crafted together for us to keep building upon. In fact, what we normally view as mistakes are actually some of our greatest teachers. 🏡 PS- this is a bathroom we gutted. Fitness is Important, Increasing Muscles isn’t. Two statements are independent of each other. There’s a myth which says “If you will go to gym, you will have to became big Bulky,” While reality is that if you go to gym, or you do exercises at home, your body posture will become good with proper Metabolism and more Flexibility as well as mobility. Your Muscle endurance and stamina curve will rise Exponentially. Increasing Muscles size is not important, neither you should increase unless you are into bodybuilding or Aiming for. But some dumbasses be like “you are going gym from so many years, why don’t you have bulky muscles like my frnd” You don’t have to be fit for others or to show them your abs, NO. You have to be fit because it is something which is being lacked due to Technologies. We take out our bikes even if we want to go 500 meters away from home. We don’t have interest in Outdoor sports because our Smartphones have PUBG. We don’t have to meet our Friends because Whatsapp has introduced video calling. Do all of the above, no issues. 🤯 197lbs (36 inch waist ) -> 159lbs 🤯(29 inch waist ) 🤯 I love my over all transformation, but my stomach transformation is my FAVORITE! I used to be so self conscious of my stomach & it was always my #1 priority to lose my stomach when losing weight. 🤯 “how do I lose my stomach?” is a question I hear a LOT. the thing is, you CANNOT spot reduce where you want to lose fat. but I can tell you what helped me get from the left picture to the right. 🤯 WHAT I DID: 1. high-protein diet ( I aim for 130g of protein or more daily! ) 2. calorie deficit ( macro calculator on my linktree in my bio for YOUR specific calories ) 3. strength training ( I weight lift 4x a week ) 4. minimal cardio ( I do HIIT/running/walking/jump roping for 10-15 mins before each workout ) 5. SLEEP! ( I try to get 7-8 hours of sleep each night because I notice when I sleep better I get better results! ) 6. water (I try to drink 120oz+ of water daily, as well as drinking sparkling water & gatorade zero instead of soda or juice ) 🤯 this journey is worth it, but it takes consistency, discipline, determination, and hard work. stop “starting over” & just commit to it all the way! I promise it’s worth the sacrifices 🖤
