It’s this time of year that I’m usually running one or more of the @freepmarathon races, but instead, I found pics from past years.⁣ ⁣ Years back, I’d probably hate this first pic. But now? I actually really like it. That’s the face of someone that just sprinted 6:50 mile and is rethinking her life choices. ⁣ ⁣ I see a power stance after a huge effort. I’m still alive, and still #running - I just moved house on the weekend and things have been chaotic. This week I have a lot of catch up running to do, to make up for the km’s missed over the weekend. Monday 8 miles 👟 We begin another week of training and got in another good run. We are feeling stronger and and more comfortable with these runs now. Got in a good basketball session following the run and we are scheduled for the same 8 miles and basketball again tomorrow. We will need to impress and get into uni training as uni sport is somehow exempt from covid restrictions - that degree has more power than you think apparently. If we don't make it then our basketball season looks to be over and we will have to grind individually on outdoor courts. We can't let any setbacks stop our progress though and we will keep running and hooping harder than ever no matter what. We have got to stay positive and make it happen.

🤤 #nuunlife The MB Marathon being virtual has given the participants until Nov 11 to complete their races. I plan on doing my 13.1 Mile on November 1st and push my hardest to get it to as little time as possible. Today was band work, foam rolling and stretching after yesterday's long run Sunday. It wouldn’t be 2020 if something did not go tits up, down, sideways. Just when you hang to the last shreds of fools hope for one last race on the calendar, you pull something in your calf. Whilst ... eating in wagamama? At no point of any of my running endeavours did I feel my calf pulling. I pull my whole body, legs included, to attempt a forward motion but no said calf on its own! But I’ve had enough, i’m past passive agressive. 2020 can go and play with it’s bits. If I can’t run, I’ll walk. If I can’t run, I’ll climb the stair master. If I can’t run, I’ll pick up the kettlebells and throw them in your face. Do one 2020 and just fook off. #oasisofpeaceandquiet #calmandserene #2020

Hogyan fuss hosszabb távokat? 🏃🏽‍♀️ . Sokszor kapom meg a kérdést: hogyan tudok hosszabb távokat lefutni? 🤷🏻‍♀️ . A válaszom az, hogy ehhez nem kell semmi különleges adottság, bárki tud hosszú távokat futni, csak be kell tartani pár fontos szabályt: 🏃🏽‍♀️Először is kell egy jó állóképesség, amihez sok-sok hosszú, alacsony pulzustartományban történő futás/kocogás szükséges. Itt szokott elakadni a legtöbb kezdő futó, mert úgy gondolják, hogy ha minden edzést max pulzuson és max tempóval végignyomnak, attól jobban lehet fejlődni, mint az alacsonyabb intenzitástól, mert ugye érzésre sokkal jobban kifáradsz és úgy érzed, hogy több melót beleraktál. Természetesen 10 vagy akár 20km-ig is el lehet jutni magas intenzitású futásokkal, de hosszú távon ez nem a legegészségesebb módszer és fejlődni is egyre nehezebb lesz. 🏃🏽‍♀️Ha már megvan az állóképesség, akkor az is fontos, hogy a versenyen is figyelj a pulzusodra. Ha először futod az a távot, ne akarj rögtön olipmiai csúcsidőt futni, csak a táv teljesítésére fókuszálj. Végig figyelj a pulzusodra, igyekezz olyan zónában tartani, ahol még tudsz beszélni futás közben, nem kapkodod nagyon a levegőt. 🏃🏽‍♀️Sokan ott rontják el a versenyeket, hogy elfutják az elejét! Nagyon gyakori ez a jelenség, mivel az elején még nem érzed a tempót, visz a tömeg meg az adrenalin és 5km-nél meg haldokolsz, mert végig laktátküszöb felett futottál és teljesen besavasodtál. (Természetesen ez is működő módszer, rövid távok esetén ) 🏃🏽‍♀️Szintén nagyon fontosnak tartom a hosszútáv futásnál a frissítést. 10km felett már mindeképp vigyél magaddal valamilyen izotóniás italt, só tablettát illet gélt, banánt, datolyát, vagy ami neked bejön, ezt ki kell tapasztani edzéseken. Fontos, hogy versenyeken se igyál és egyél össze-vissza mindent, amit eddig nem szoktál, csak mert ki van téve, mert abból baj lehet! 🏃🏽‍♀️Az utolsó, ami szerintem nagyon fontos (nem csak a hosszú táv futásnál ) az a nyújtás, de erről már többször is írtam, ha érdekel, görgess vissza a profilomon. . 📸: @gergelymate86 . 📈: @tpeti .tri

O-See-Ultra 50km|~2.300HM Ich bin noch immer sprachlos von einer zauberhaften Landschaft, unfassbar schönen Felsformationen, steilen Anstiegen, anspruchsvollen Downhills, schlammigen Parcours und guter Stimmung. Es war körperlich und mental eine Herausforderung am Samstag. Ein Höhepunkt, der die Off-Season bezüglich Ultras für mich einleitet. Bei Kühlschranktemperaturen und Nebel kam ich mir wie in einem Märchenwald vor. Es war ein großes Erlebnis und ich bin dem Veranstalter und allen Helfern des @oseeultratrail sehr dankbar für ein gelungenes Event. Ich habe das gerade bei langen Läufen stets tolle Buffet an den VPs vermisst, aber das musste Coronabedingt auf verpackte Riegel beschränkt werden. Als sechste Frau im Ziel musste ich direkt von der Ziellinie neben das Podium zur Siegerehrung laufen. On point. Really lost so much motivation past few weeks 😔 Barely managing 2 runs a week and just about doing a 10k. Had a lot of s*** in life the past few weeks and seems like it’s just never ending. It’s affecting my running more than expected as I just feel I have no energy and because of this I’m sleeping in late and not having times for runs before work. Even when I do I literally just don’t want to go running as I feel my latest runs have been a struggle and I don’t want a poor run knowing where I was just a few months ago. Also it’s now getting colder and rainy which doesn’t help me. Back to the Trail Run It’s been sometime since my last trail run on the piggy route. S.U.N.D.A.Y. L.O.N.G.R.U.N...Half Marathon 🏃🏼‍♀️ My Caro Sposo and I stayed overnight at what appeared to be a quiet motel in the suburbs. We were kept awake by an endless stream of traffic negotiating a nearby roundabout. Then, it was 6am. Time for breakfast and the 20 minute drive to a Running Festival in a wine region. 🏃🏼‍♀️ The weather for the Festival was ideal.. cool, overcast with some wind. I entered the Half Marathon. I’d run this course last year and was a little apprehensive as I remembered long hills. 🏃🏼‍♀️ It’s a narrow course on a former rail line giving runners about a metre wide track. The first 3.5k was down hill in the direction of the coast. I rounded the first turning point...next was the “climb”. I reached the crest thinking, “That wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.” 🏃🏼‍♀️ I passed a creek, alive with the sounds of frogs, insects and water birds (frogs are on my list of favourite sounds ). My pace by this time was good. It was a straight run and I thought I was descending. By 13 k’s my pace slowed, slightly. I saw other runners returning and briefly….what I thought was the next long climb back to the finish line. “Better leave something in the tank for the return”, I told myself. 🏃🏼‍♀️ I finally reached the 2nd turning point...7k to go. 🏃🏼‍♀️ My pace increased. “Am I going downhill...where’s the climb I thought I saw?” It seems I’d misjudged the terrain and had been climbing prior to the 2nd turning point. By now pace felt good...I was almost “home”. I anticipated weariness but it didn’t happen. There was a short ascent but mostly, it felt like an easy downhill run. I maintained the faster pace till the end. 🏃🏼‍♀️ 21.1K done with a 5 minute improvement on last year’s time. 🏃🏼‍♀️ #parkrunner #halfmarathon #halfmarathonrunner #beinspired #runner #runningpassion #longdistancerunning #everydayrunner #naturelover #womenrunning

There’s just something about that new outfit confidence✨ Feeling good in your clothes or being confident in your own skin is not always easy. 6 months ago, I would not have thought twice about putting anything close to fitted in my online shopping cart! Self love takes time. It takes practice, every day. For me, it was finally seeing how far I’ve come. I thought my body never changed, no matter what I did or ate, because I was always finding something negative to say about it. When I stopped comparing myself to the next girl or thinking I could never wear that because our bodies were different, I started to see all the things there was to love about ME. I finally stopped seeing myself how I thought others would see me, or judge me. I started appreciating my body for all that it can do. I stopped comparing everything I did to others, which I know is easier said than done, but we are not supposed to be the same! Our clothes are not one size fits all for a reason. It’s become natural at this point to want to compare ourselves or be like someone else, but I’m done comparing. I want to compete with the person I was yesterday. I want to better myself for my own health, physically & mentally.
